Laptop Problems

This probably happens to a lot of people.

Right when you have lots of assignments to hand in, or you have a big project that you have just completed, something with one of your gadgets stops work. This could be your printer running low on ink, sucking paper in, or just not printing at all ... or your computer/laptop lags and the file you were just working on wasn't saved to the most updated version so you have to rewrite stuff, computer being on too long (cause you're probably just pulling an all nighter working) that it heats up and randomly crashes, or your internet suddenly doesn't work so you can't send whatever you need to or use hte internet to do your research... there's just too many possibilities!!

There is just too much that can happen. In a way I am starting to think computers control us more than we control them... if it crashes on me while I'm doing my 30% paper and i lose everything, i get screwed cause I'm just going to fail the course cause the professor won't really take your excuse of "oh my laptop died" even though its the truth!

Anyways.. so on with why I'm writing this. I'm working on my 30% project now.. my laptop is acting really funny on me. Lately, its been super slow or I guess I'm thinking too fast for it. Then the other day when I turned it on the screen was all dark. I could faintly see that it was on. The bulb for my screen is dying. I've restarted and gotten it to work again, but obviously this won't last long and I'm going to need a better plan.

I've had my laptop for a good 4 years now so I guess it is time for me to let it go and let it retire.. NOT until 30 days from now when I'm done my exams and I don't need to hand anything else in. I'm just praying it wont' mess up anytime soon. I totally need to backup my files but common... I really don't have time for that and I'm just too lazy to do it.

So I need a new laptop.. not sure what I'm going to get next.. I'm currently just using a regular ibm laptop cause I don't do much with it and battery life is great lasting me 4-5 hours (still even after 4 years). My friends have hp and their fans are really loud and heats up a lot. Other people with dell .. everyone 4 years ago that brought dell all had the same ones and they were really crappy. Everyone is telling me to get a mac book... not sure. I don't do anything fancy really. I just need my good old Word and regular Microsoft programs, firefox, msn, and I'm good. So I'm still not sure if I can justify why I am going to dish out $1000 for a mac book pro.

All my friends that have it says its amazing.. but then they don't really explain why. lol. For the features I need I can probably just get a regular laptop for like $500-700ish just simple hardware. So I need more reasons to why I should get a mac book pro. Suggestions?

Square One Trip

I went to square one yesterday because my bf needed to go to the apple store to fix his iphone since it wasn't working. After they fixed it we went shopping and had dinner at Moxie's.

just wanted to let you all know. I guess aside from Winners, Zellers is now also selling E.L.F products. I saw a bunch near the holiday gift package shelf. They were mostly those gift packages. They cost the same at Winners (~$5.99-9.99) but there was definitely a wider selection and the ones at Winners are always opened or taken apart which I hate. I didn't have enough time to shop around so I didn't pick up anything.

Also, we went to the dollarama cause I needed to get some thank you cards. I knew dollarama were always selling some products for dove and stuff but I was really surprised to see that they had the L'Oreal Bare Naturale mascara for sale there. There were tons. I wonder if they are like defect products or something for only $2 a mascara. I picked one cause there's nothing to lose with just $2. I wanted to test it out to see if they actually really had nothing wrong with it. :)

I also got a bottle of soap just to be more germ -free. Everyone at school is getting sick..
I did a few weeks ago with a really bad flu. It was so annoying cause everyone would think you had swine flu. haha. My university had a swine flu reporting system so that if you THINK you had swine flu symptoms you can just enter your name and stuff and you can get all your tests and stuff for that week or two deferred. no questions asked. Thy don't want you going to class and tests and start infecting everyone. What a easy way for ppl to abuse this. :) I reported it but I didn't' use it. I still went to my tests. I don't' see the point of moving your 25% or 30% midterm to your exam and making your exam worth potentially 60-75%. You're just killing yourself later.

I also received my package from cherzmaster today from her birthday giveaway! :) She had a lot of giveaway items. I'm super excited to try them out. Shipping was surprisingly fast only 1 day.

Jane products clearance

I went to the local Fortinos grocery store yesterday to grab some chicken dinner special they had for $10 (full chicken + potato wedges + salad). It was a good deal to split between 3 or 4 people and you'll end up really full.

I went to the cosmetic section to check it out and realized that the section for Jane products were going on clearance. When I went to check out what products were left, there were only like 3 things, two types of mascara and a blush. The costs were slash down to $1.50-$2.00ish from the usual $5-$10. I guess it really is being discontinued and the local grocery stores that carry them are starting to clear it out.
If only there were more fortinos near me i'd check out to buy some more. Maybe other people are more lucky at this... I know Zellers carry it too. I wish I was back home where I have a car to go to places... Hamilton is kinda empty ... I really wanted to try the gel liner they had. Oh well I was too late. Should have grocery shopped earlier!

I also stumbbled upon a Milani runaway pallete that had three eyeshadow circles with different colours. It costed $9.99. I found it randomly on one of hte shelves. Is Milani coming to Canada? If so, that's AWESOME! Gotta keep my eye out. Maybe the Jane section that's clearing up now on the shelf is going to turn in to a Milaini shelf! WOOT!

Lisa's Cosmetic/Fragrance Warehouse Sale Fall 2009

So I realized that i haven't blogged in a while. Work right after summer was hectic. I had to finish up this major project I was working on that needed to be finished before I left. They didn't want the project to still lie around when I'm gone and have someone up follow up and worl on it. I didn't get to finish on time by my last day of work, so they asked me to stay an extra week to finish it. I got paid, so why not! I finished on that Thursday and took Friday to pack. Then, on Saturday morning I was on my trip to Orlando with my friends!
There were six of us that went and we had an AWESOME TIME!
It was the best deal ever, the package included hotel at disneyworld, tickets to the parks for 3 days, meals included. We added our own airfare from buffalo to orlando and we megabus to buffalo. We also went to Universal Studios Orlando and Island of Adventures.
I'll definitely update with some pictures later... I think when I have time and want to procrastinate from doing school work :)

School is getting hectic and I am just not in the mood to write and type after finishing up with all my reports and assignments! I realized youtube and blogspot is where I go when I want to procrastinate, which is quite often.

Enough on the rambling, so....

Just found out the Lisa's Cosmetic Fragrance Warehouse Sale this Fall 2009 days are out!
I've never been to any of them before. From looking at what everyone always gets from these, it seems pretty awesome for some deals. I think it'd be a great place to get some Christmas presents for my friends. I really want to go this year but I guess I'll have to see how my schedule goes! I really wonder how big a difference it is if you go the first few days vs. the last few days. Do they restock over the few weeks with stuff or put everything out all at once? that might determine when I should go...

http://www.lisascosmetics.com/flyer2009w.pdf

I'm also on my search for my next co-op job which is for Term 2, which is this coming Jan. It seems like a lot of the job interviews I'm getting are either in Calgary or Ottawa. Maybe I'll have to do some travelling this year... but Calgary is snowing already! not a big fan of snow...

Bored at work..

so im' ni the office right now... i think i'm the only person left. i guess i understand cause its a friday and everyone just leaves early or leaves at 1 cause we have summer hours... but i haveto stay techncialyl till 6. hahaha. cause i come in later at like 8:45ish... i think i will leave a bit earlier than that.. just bored. alone in a big office...
i realised i haven't updated ina while. that's probably cause the times i usually write stuff on this blog is at work when i am bored . lol. and the past few weeks has been hecktic with work cause I have been having a lot of trouble doing this project im' working on.. and it has to be completed before i finish my summer term here. ekks.
my last day is 21st. then i have a week to rest up. and going on my trip to orlando!!!
I am super excited! I am going with 5 of my friends to orlando for a week. We'll be living in one of the disney hotels. We are going to go to animal kingdomd, mgm/hollywood studios, magic kingdom, universal studios and of course shopping..
too bad just two girls going.. so its going to be werid when the boys are going shopping with us. I don't like it when alot of guys are tehre. They seem to get impatient and it is annoying. I like to take my time to go shopping! Its hard to decide what I want to buy sometimes..
So I saved up for thist rip and can't wait.
The sad part is when the trip is over that's also when school starts! ekks. this summer flew by... just like every summer...

Canada One Outlet Haul

What a great weekend!

So last Friday I was off work cause of flex day. My bf, friend and me went to Niagara falls. So we went on the casino buses that were free cause we had the Fallsview casino membership card. The ride was good only 1 1/2 hour. :) They were playing Hancock on the ride. but it was like fake dvd versions of it. lol.

When we got there it was raining so that wasn't nice. We wanted to go to Canada One Outlet to check out the coach store and shop around. We took the Niagara transit bus and got a day pass for $6 unlimited ride all day.

We were kinda unlucky we got out of the casino and the bus they we needed to go on just left!! saw it go by too. We took the next one which were 15 mins apart.
The Canada One outlet was surprisingly small for an "outlet" lol. They had nike, coach, urban behavior, guess, body shop outlet, urban planet, mexx, etc. It just was very bad that the weather was so terrible. it was literally pouring rain. :(

Coach had a lot of people. There were lots of 20% , 30% and 50% off items. However, obviously things that were 50% where like original price of $500. lol.
We spent so long in there. My bf wanted to get me a coach purse for my birthday so I was trying hard to find something I liked and also something of reasonable price. I was debating between just getting a wrislet, clutch or a mini purse. In the end we got a mini signature purse w/ a white band around it. It was only like $10 more than getting a clutch. So speaking of practicality, it was worth it. I also had an additional 20% off coupon so we used that. The purse came to around $60ish including tax. It retails for $130.
I love big purses.. have lots of stuff I like carrying around, this is going to be a challenge to pick what I really need to put in this small bag.

My friend got the same size bag but in a total white colour. She also got two small coin purses one for herself and one for her sister. They were around $38 each.

I also went to the body shop outlet and got another one of the gift sets. They pretty much had all the clearance stuff that was in stores last month all in this outlet now. The stuff I had gotten last month was now even cheaper. I felt jipped. The gift boxes I had gotten last time for $5 are now $4 there and there was this gift set for $10 before now $6. So I decided to get it since it was the last one there. Great deal . Retail $25; Sale price at store $10; Sale price at outlet $6. It included:

  • 2.0 fl oz Satsuma Shower Gel
  • 1.7 oz Satsuma Body Butter
  • 2.5 oz Satsuma Body Polish
  • Orange Bath Lily

They were also giving samples out too at the cashier. But for some reason the cashier didn't give me one but the ladies in front of me got... I was not happy when I left... like why would she not give me one when clearly I saw other people in front of me getting some and I saw that she still had samples left. weird customer service I don't get it... what did i do to her to not deserve one. oh well. just free stuff anyways.

Attractions Ontario Coupons

As there's only close to 1 1/2 month left of summer, I started getting my act together to look for places to go and spend my time. Have to make good use of my summer! Now I realize that almost everything has a coupon, so I need to go search hard for some!

I know a lot of people alread go on redflagdeals to get coupons and stuff to different attractions and events.
Well here is another site wth alot of e-coupons to print off and use.

Attractions Ontario
Go click on the E-coupon tab and there are a bunch!
For example, they have stuff for:
Safari Niagara, Ontario Place, Wonderland, Casa Loma, etc.

I am planning to go to Niagara Falls tomorrow. I will be taking the casino coaches to Fallsview Casino. They have a promotion now that if you have the member card, it is free !! (which I have from last year!) Even if you don't, its only $25 and sometimes they give you money back to use at the casino, but you can just cash it back :)

I will be going to go to the Canada One outlet and maybe one of those haunted house things or the ferris wheel! There is a new Coach outlet at Canada One which I will stop by to see. I heard there are really great sales of 20-50% off. I don't buy any expensive bags, but I will check it out to see anyways! There is a rfd coupon out for an additional 20% off. Hopefully there won't be lineups tomorrow since its a Friday. I will go check it out.

Harry Potter is out! Going to watch that on Saturday. :)
not looking forward to Ginny and Harry getting together... booo.. her character was poorly cast. if only they knew earlier what her impact would be.

Yorkdale Shopping + Free Stuff

I had a great birthday weekend this year. I had work on my actual birthday but after work I had dinner with my family and went ot bbt with my friends at night. My bf came back out from Hamilton to celebrate and got me a cake. We had a great time at bbt with all my friends. :) I got a CD and a calendar organizer that's also used as a mouse pad. 2 in 1~

Then on Sat I went aldo shopping as i said in my haul below. The next day on Sunday I woke up early and went over to my bf for lunch. He made me food. Then we went with a few friends to Yorkdale shopping. I didn't really get anything.
First I went to Sephora to get my birthday gift from the beautyinsider member card. :) I had to get it within 7 days or so I think so I had to make sure I rmb to get it. So I got a set of three small sample size lip glosses. They are really cute and easy to carry around. Great for travelling. So I'm glad I picked it up.

I also went to COACH to look around at the new collection. I don't have any designer bags cause I don't really think I'm at the point in life where I need to splurge on something like that and it snot like I'm earning loads. The earnings to purse cost ratio isn't there yet for me to afford a high end bag. I'm good with my cheap and convenient bags :)
They have the new collection called POPPY and I had signed up and printed the online promoting that they had. I went in with my paper copy of the site and my information and I got a free gift. It was a box of pencils with a really cool design for the box. It was free so why not get it? The sales lady said there wasn't a lot left ! I think this will just be sitting in my room for display. its cute. :)

I did go to body shop again and this time i got a mirror for $3. I decided to invest in this. Every time I buy the plastic kinds they break.. I might as well get this fabric one and it'll last me longer in the long run. The stuff there are getting CHEAPER! i was so scared the stuff I brought before were going to be cheaper.. I would have been so mad. haha. the manager at the store was selling so hard core. talking about the body shop member card and giving ppl samples and talks. Someone even tried to like make bargains with her. If she brought more of this and that she get a discount on other stuff. lol. It was funny. I think they are desperately in need of selling all the sale items. This one had different stuff but none of the gift sets so I didn't get anything. I think the things that are worth the most are the gift sets cause you get multiple items for a reletavely cheap price.
My friend got a sample of the body butter. cause the manager was trying to get him to buy it. lol. it was funny.

After that I went to summerlicious dinner... more on that next....

Aldo Outlet Haul

So I went through an awesome deal day! lol. maybe because of some birthday luck this week! The called Woodbridge square which is close to Vaughan mills. It has a lot of outlets such as bluenotes, aldo, guess, mexx, spring, la vie en rose, roots, garage, etc. I usually go there during boxing day or go every few months in the summer to get great deals.

Depending on the store, some stores have relatively old stuff that are cheap. However, some have really new stuff that are currently selling at the stores in malls but at an exceptionally cheaper price. I always buy my shoes from this aldo outlet.

I feel like buying stuff at regular price at malls are such a scam if there aren't any discounts. I will only buy things at regular price if I am in DESPERATE need of it and if its something I love and can't wait any longer. lol.
Here's why.

So I went in to the aldo outlet there and there were great discounts at already reduced prices on everything. But in addition to that it was 50% off !!!! So i' m thinking, no way.. A pair of pumps lets say original price at the stores are $80 would be marked down to $30. Then another 50% off. so that's $15..... for a pair of nice leather pumps.. i was kinda surprised and didn't believe the signs so I had to ask a few times to make sure.
I spent an hour or so trying on all the shoes there were. lol. this was an even better steal than sometimes on boxing days!
In the end I purchase two pairs (i had to resist and be realistic on what I really needed to buy. lol)

So this pair. originally $80. Discount to $24.98. Plus 50% off. Total: $12.50.

This pair was originally $70, discount to $35.98. Plus 50% off which was a total of $17.50.
This pair originally was near the additional 50% off section so I was ready to pay $35 with it cause it was so comfy and I really liked it when i tried it on at the mall. When the cashier totalled my purchase to $31, I was so happy. :) That was a really awesome deal.

also, love the environmentally friendly packaging they have at aldo now. convenient and saves bags. should have invented that earlier.

I went to yorkdale mall the next day and saw these SAME pair of shoes. The first one was at $24.98. The second pair was still at $70. :) I'm happy.

Waiting in line day...

So on the 3rd I had a really busy day. I had to wake up at like 9a.m. to go to get my passport renewed. Its been over a year since it has expired so that means I have to fill out this longer form and also wait longer! This lady that was just renewing under 1 year waited for like 15 minutes or so.. but instead I had to wait around 1 hour. Oh well. at least that's done.
After that I went to the driver's license office to get my license renewed too. It was so quick! took literately 2 minutes. very efficient. I saved so much time which was awesome. :)
So in totally i had to spend quite a bit already.
Passport $87 + Driver's License $90 = $177.. oh boy.
The good thing is I have the really old health card so I don't have to ever renew it... which I'm so lucky and happy about. lol

When I was at the passport place, there were lots of CUPE workers there blocking people from going into the parking lot. They eventually let them in, but just made them wait like 3 minutes or so... i really hope the strike ends soon. Feel bad for all the citizens that have to suffer through this.. I would be so pissed if that happened in my area. But thank god I live in R. hill. Hope it ends ASAP! strikes and unions are starting to get really annoying.

Vaughan Mills Shopping Haul

So I went to Vaughan Miills this past weekend to shop for some gifts. I knew body shop was having a lot of sales on their gift products so I was mainly going there to purchase some. I got 4 gifts to give to my supervisors and managers at the end of my summer work term. They have been really awesome and I would like to thank them for everything I learned. Maybe they will keep in touch after and I can get hired again in the future :) Big pharma company so I want to make sure I have my connections set up for the future.

So I don't really know what they want/like. I just got 4 gifts sets. A lot of gift sets were from $5 - $20. So I got 3 there were shower gels, luffa for $5. and I got a manicure set for $10.

1st set: $5
  • 60 ml Coconut Milk Body Lotion
  • 60 ml Coconut Shower Cream
  • White Mini Segment Lily

  • 2nd set: $5
  • 60 ml Mango Whip Body Lotion
  • 60 ml Mango Shower Gel
  • Orange Mini Bath Lily

  • 3rd set: $10

I don't rmb what the 4th set was...

I left the store and realized I didn't get anything for myself.... oh well.. lol.

Then I went to old navy. They were having a sale on bikini tops and bottoms for $5 each. So I went and got a set. It was just a brown halter top and brown bottom. It was a decent deal. It was kinda messy cause everyone was trying to get a piecel. A lot of sizes were gone but I was still able to find small sizes here and there. :) When I checked out the cashier asked for my email and sent me a coupon. So I got a coupon now for $10 off $50 purchase next time. I might not use it but I guess it was still nice of them to give it out. :)

La Senza had sooo many peopl ein i it was kinda crazy. Even with the fact that the La Senza store at Vaughan mills is huge. There were soo many buckets everyhwere. It was such a hassle to go look through them for your sizes. Even with the labels, the bras were actually everywhere. Nothing was in the right bucket. I spent quite a bit of time just looking around. Then I had to go to the change room to try them out. I eventually found 3 that I really wanted. When I went to the cashier one of htem was $30 not the $9.99 price that it was going on for sale. I found it in one of hte buckets. It was kinda said that I had to say I didn' twant to buy it. It was the only bra I tried on that I was sure I wanted to get! Oh well, the price is just not good enough cause everything else was just $9.99. If I spent $30 on it I would prb always thikn about it that I could have gotten 3 instead of 1. lol.

I didn't get a chance to go by DCW. :( I had to go meet up with friends for dinner. From walking by, it seemed like there was alot there! Too bad I can't make good use of the Canada's Day coupon. :(

I did go to Laura Secord though. I had a coupon for an extra scoop of ice cream with a purchase of a cone. :) I had a chococlate chocolate chip and the creme brulee flavour. SOO YUMMY! :)

    Rexall Coupon $2 off $20

Another coupon I found. I get bored at work so I try to make good use of time to find some ways to save money. lol

    Bath and Body Work Coupon

Since there are so many sales going on at the malls nowadays. Even better deal is to use coupons with sales :)
I wish i didn't have to go to work all the time so I can actually go shopping more. Click on the picture for the full link or

    Review: Revlon ColorStay Pencil Liner

    Shade: Black Brown
    Packaging: 9/10
    Quality: 8/10
    Overall: 8/10
Price: Regular price of ~$10; Cheapest when on sale $5-6

About: I have heard lots of wonderful reviews about Revlon ColorStay being one of the top drugstore pencil eyeliners there is to offer, so I decided to buy one to try it out for myself around 4 months ago. I got this during a sale at rexall a while back. It cost me $5 so it was definitely worth a try. I would say I have an oily t-zone along with an oily eyelid as the day goes on. It is definitely really difficult to just find an eyeliner that won’t smudge for me. I first tried using this alone for a long time and I did notice that by mid-day the eyeliner would have smudged (~4 hours of wear). It would still remain on my eyelid but the definition of a thin line becomes nonexistent. I usually line my eyes very thinly, but by mid-day it would be a really thick line. So by this time my rating for it would be only a 3/5.
Next, I tried lining it with eye shadow on top of it. This method is turning out to provide longer staying power. With eye shadow, this can last me till the end of the day with a visible defined line with little smudging. This is why I ranked it a 4/5 in the end.

This is a retractable pencil liner so you have the convenience of not having to sharpen it. This design is perfect for me cause I am very lazy.
The 1 mark is off cause even though it has promised a long staying power, it is not really following through on my eyelids if applied alone.
This is still one of the better eye liners out there, drug store wise. I think this will work fine for me in the winter when my eyelids aren’t that oily. I definitely still need to look for a better one especially in the summer when my oily eyelids + sweaty summers are going to smudge absolutely everything off!

    Pro:
    - Retractable pencil
    - Built in sharpener
    - Multiple Shades to choose from

    Con:
    - Smudges (for me at least)
    - Don't like the sharper that comes with it at the end of the pencil

    Repurchase? Maybe
My next try is the Revlon ColorStay liquid liner! Hopefully that will work out better. If not, then I might end up sticking with this and lining it with eyeshadow. Still I would prefer not having the hassle of an extra step in the morning. :P

    Plant vs. Zombies

    So I am officially addicted!!

My friend introduced this game to everyone this weekend when we went to Hamilton. It’s a really cute strategy game where you have to plant different variety of plants that do different things to prevent/destroy these zombies that are trying to attack your house and eat your brains. LOL.

The graphics are so cute!! So is the sound and animations. For example, the Wall-Nut is like a barrier thing and the zombies would eat it to get pass. As it slowly starts to become weaker and weaker it starts crying... it’s so sad. The descriptions and pictures of the plants are very cute.
It’s an awesome game. I play it after work very day and have been sleeping less cause of this. I feel like I’m almost done the game soon, which is going to be sad. One of my friends was addicted instantly and played all weekend. He beat it in like 2 days. :S It’s a simple game and very cute. Should try it!

I can’t wait to get home to play again!!

    Hamilton Weekend

So I went to Hamilton this weekend with a bunch of friends. A mini road trip i guess to visit my bf and a friend that is still living in Hamilton this summer cause they are working in the lab at Mac.

It was so awesome cause I had work of on Friday!! I am doing Flex week so that means every other Friday I get it off but I just make up my hours during the rest of the 9 days. Which isn’t bad? So I get a mini long weekend every other week. I imagine I will just be sleeping in a lot during my off days

So we went to Hamilton for the weekend, played lots of video games, cooked and hiked. It was fun. We hiked around the back of the campus and somehow walked for a REALLY long time. We missed one of the trail exist and just kept going until we hit a trial area that was muddy and went. Then we had to turn back. Saw a few swans there which was really pretty. It was a nice road trip I guess with everyone that was done exams from York. Another weekend gone already.
I have a feeling school is just around the corner.

    Review: Physician’s Formula Duo Concealer

    Shade: Yellow/Neutral
    Quality: 7/10
    Packaging: 8/10
    Overall: 7.5/10
    Price: $7-10

    Claims:

    High-tech, lightweight formula. Hypoallergenic. Non-comedogenic. Fragrance-free. Non-creasing.

    • Laser inscription helps to easily identify which shade corrects and which covers.
    • Cream-to-powder concealer.
    • Lightweight formula hides skin imperfections and smooth out fine lines
    • Contains a color-corrective shade and a flesh-tone shade in one package.
    • Yellow color-corrects under-eye circles and other bluish skin discolorations.
    • Green color-corrects red blemishes and scars.

    About:

I got this physician’s formula duo conceal around a year ago and have used it almost every day. I still haven’t hit pan on this. This is definitely lasting me a really long time and it hasn’t dried up yet. So for an economical stand point, this has a decent quality that can last a long time. Great quantity for the price.
So I got this a year ago when I realized that school is making me sleep less and my dark circles are too obvious to ignore. I got this when shoppers was having a sale so it cost me around $7. I got the yellow/neutral shade (that was the only one available at the store I was at) but there is also a green/neutral shade.

Swatch- Bottom: Yellow shade. Top: Neutral shade

This is about the YELLOW side only: I use the yellow side every day to cover up my under eye circles and slightly around my nose area to cover up some of the darkness and redness. It already had a creamy texture when I apply it. It is easy to blend with my foundation brush and doesn’t give a cakey appearance. If you want a creamier texture than putting it under the hairdryer will definitely help it even more. But for me, using it alone works great already.

So why did I give it a 3.5/5 for quality? For some reason the yellow side is WONDERFUL but the neutral side is really bad. The colour of the neutral side is in a specified shade that is for really fair skin. It is definitely hard to match it. I tried applying it under my foundation to make it blend away better, but it still doesn’t work. It also gives off a cakey appearance that the yellow side didn’t. I am wonderful if the two have different formulations and materials. So to sum up, I have tried using this neutral side in many ways and it still is pretty useless. I don’t want to waste the product, but there isn’t anything else I can do with it. Its not sticky enough to be a good base either.

Packaging: It comes with a mini concealer brush. The concealer brush is not good for blending and evening it out. It gives a streaky appearance when using it. I opt to use my posh concealer brush + foundation brush instead. The clear container packaging is really durable and a convenient square size. I dropped it a couple of times and nothing has come off yet, so its pretty durable :P

Overall, I really enjoyed the yellow side of the duo. It is still worth the buy even if I don’t use the neutral side because for $7.. well I’ve used it for almost a year and I’m not even half way done. However, it is a waste and I don’t like wasting anything at all.

    Pro:
    - Lots of product
    - Creamy texture
    - Durable and simple packaging

    Con:
    - Neutral shade side is useless unless you have really fair skin tones
    - Bad concealer brush

Purchase again? I may or may not purchase it again. Going to try other concealers first (ex. maybelline age rewind duo conecaler). If nothing is doing well in covering my under eye circles, I will go back to this because this does do a decent job.

Review: Revlon Super Luscious Lip gloss

Shade: Life’s a Peach and Nude Lustre
    Packaging: 9/10
    Quality: 9/10
    Overall: 9/10
Price: Regular Price of ~$8; Cheapest when on sale $3.99

    Claims/Product Info:
Silky...Sexy...Brilliant. Glossy formula combines sheer color and intense moisture with light-reflecting spheres to create amazing shine. SPF 15

    About:
I don’t have a peachy lipgloss, so I got this on sale for $3.99 at rexall. I have this in Life’s a Peach and Nude Lustre. I realised they are similar shades, but I was in a hurry to go so I just grabbed the two I liked the most and I don’t like experimenting with the darker shades.

    Texture wise
: when applying it may feel a little sticky. But I feel like this stickiness isn’t really a yucky feeling, it’s what gives it a longer lasting power. Be careful when applying because you might have too much on the applicator to apply for one use. So be gentle with it in order to get a cleaner and thinner finish.

Packaging. I like things that are black giving it a classic look. The size of it is really small like the size of my phone so it’s easy to carry around in my purse. The tip applicator is slightly angle for an easier application. I really love this product especially in the winter I think. For the summer I rather opt for a product that is less thick and more sheer.
FYI- make sure to check the expiry date in tiny letters at the back of the gloss imprinted on the clear packaging.

    Pro:
    - Nice packaging
    - Long lasting
    - Nice selection of colours
    - Contains SPF 15

    Con:
    - Takes up too much product at once
    - May feel a little sticky
    - Contains slight shimmers

    Purchase again? Yes

Terminator Salvation Movie + Mini Haul

This weekend I went out to watch Terminator Salvation. Opening weekend! It was so packed that the original time I wanted to look at was sold out. But thank god they added a new time.
I don't want to ruin it. But to be honest... I am disappointed. I have watched all terminator movies and am a fan of the whole story line. But this movie some how was a little disappointing... I wasn't as excited and didn't have the suspense I was hoping for. Action and graphics was pretty good. Christian Blane was in it but not really the John Cohner personality I envisioned. He is definately more of a Bruce Wayne guy. lol. if that makes any sense. After watching Star Trek I really liked Anton Yelchin. He played a different role this time, as Kyle Reese (John's father). A much more serious role. If they are making more to the terminator series... I really hope they make it better. So far.. summer movies my favourite is still Star Trek a must see!!! :) I have the urge to go watch it again. haha.

I also went and brought a pack of Crest Whitestrips Classic cause it was on sale at Rexall for $19.99 and I used a coupon that
eternalmi gave me that was $7 off. So it was $13, what a steal! Thank you very much! I have to take some time to decide when I want to try them out cause I might go to the dentist for a cleaning soon anyways. The crest whitestrips are on sale this week at Shoppers.

I also went to H&M to get some work cloths. There wasn't any sales going on which was disappointing but I still got two skirts. End of the weekend again. :(

    First Blog Post

    Hi everyone.
So I decide to start up a blog of my own. This summer I will be having some free time, so I thought it might be a good idea to just share what I know, what I have tried and what I am currently experiencing in regards to anything beauty related. It sounds really fun and hopefully I will be sharing something useful that can help someone out there.
I guess I will just start reviewing products I am currently using or have. I don't buy alot but maybe some haul posts. I also want to post some information about general life, good deals and stuff. I think it'll be a combination of everything. Hope you enjoy!
