Vaughan Mills Shopping Haul

So I went to Vaughan Miills this past weekend to shop for some gifts. I knew body shop was having a lot of sales on their gift products so I was mainly going there to purchase some. I got 4 gifts to give to my supervisors and managers at the end of my summer work term. They have been really awesome and I would like to thank them for everything I learned. Maybe they will keep in touch after and I can get hired again in the future :) Big pharma company so I want to make sure I have my connections set up for the future.

So I don't really know what they want/like. I just got 4 gifts sets. A lot of gift sets were from $5 - $20. So I got 3 there were shower gels, luffa for $5. and I got a manicure set for $10.

1st set: $5
  • 60 ml Coconut Milk Body Lotion
  • 60 ml Coconut Shower Cream
  • White Mini Segment Lily

  • 2nd set: $5
  • 60 ml Mango Whip Body Lotion
  • 60 ml Mango Shower Gel
  • Orange Mini Bath Lily

  • 3rd set: $10

I don't rmb what the 4th set was...

I left the store and realized I didn't get anything for myself.... oh well.. lol.

Then I went to old navy. They were having a sale on bikini tops and bottoms for $5 each. So I went and got a set. It was just a brown halter top and brown bottom. It was a decent deal. It was kinda messy cause everyone was trying to get a piecel. A lot of sizes were gone but I was still able to find small sizes here and there. :) When I checked out the cashier asked for my email and sent me a coupon. So I got a coupon now for $10 off $50 purchase next time. I might not use it but I guess it was still nice of them to give it out. :)

La Senza had sooo many peopl ein i it was kinda crazy. Even with the fact that the La Senza store at Vaughan mills is huge. There were soo many buckets everyhwere. It was such a hassle to go look through them for your sizes. Even with the labels, the bras were actually everywhere. Nothing was in the right bucket. I spent quite a bit of time just looking around. Then I had to go to the change room to try them out. I eventually found 3 that I really wanted. When I went to the cashier one of htem was $30 not the $9.99 price that it was going on for sale. I found it in one of hte buckets. It was kinda said that I had to say I didn' twant to buy it. It was the only bra I tried on that I was sure I wanted to get! Oh well, the price is just not good enough cause everything else was just $9.99. If I spent $30 on it I would prb always thikn about it that I could have gotten 3 instead of 1. lol.

I didn't get a chance to go by DCW. :( I had to go meet up with friends for dinner. From walking by, it seemed like there was alot there! Too bad I can't make good use of the Canada's Day coupon. :(

I did go to Laura Secord though. I had a coupon for an extra scoop of ice cream with a purchase of a cone. :) I had a chococlate chocolate chip and the creme brulee flavour. SOO YUMMY! :)

    Review: Revlon ColorStay Pencil Liner

    Shade: Black Brown
    Packaging: 9/10
    Quality: 8/10
    Overall: 8/10
Price: Regular price of ~$10; Cheapest when on sale $5-6

About: I have heard lots of wonderful reviews about Revlon ColorStay being one of the top drugstore pencil eyeliners there is to offer, so I decided to buy one to try it out for myself around 4 months ago. I got this during a sale at rexall a while back. It cost me $5 so it was definitely worth a try. I would say I have an oily t-zone along with an oily eyelid as the day goes on. It is definitely really difficult to just find an eyeliner that won’t smudge for me. I first tried using this alone for a long time and I did notice that by mid-day the eyeliner would have smudged (~4 hours of wear). It would still remain on my eyelid but the definition of a thin line becomes nonexistent. I usually line my eyes very thinly, but by mid-day it would be a really thick line. So by this time my rating for it would be only a 3/5.
Next, I tried lining it with eye shadow on top of it. This method is turning out to provide longer staying power. With eye shadow, this can last me till the end of the day with a visible defined line with little smudging. This is why I ranked it a 4/5 in the end.

This is a retractable pencil liner so you have the convenience of not having to sharpen it. This design is perfect for me cause I am very lazy.
The 1 mark is off cause even though it has promised a long staying power, it is not really following through on my eyelids if applied alone.
This is still one of the better eye liners out there, drug store wise. I think this will work fine for me in the winter when my eyelids aren’t that oily. I definitely still need to look for a better one especially in the summer when my oily eyelids + sweaty summers are going to smudge absolutely everything off!

    Pro:
    - Retractable pencil
    - Built in sharpener
    - Multiple Shades to choose from

    Con:
    - Smudges (for me at least)
    - Don't like the sharper that comes with it at the end of the pencil

    Repurchase? Maybe
My next try is the Revlon ColorStay liquid liner! Hopefully that will work out better. If not, then I might end up sticking with this and lining it with eyeshadow. Still I would prefer not having the hassle of an extra step in the morning. :P

    Plant vs. Zombies

    So I am officially addicted!!

My friend introduced this game to everyone this weekend when we went to Hamilton. It’s a really cute strategy game where you have to plant different variety of plants that do different things to prevent/destroy these zombies that are trying to attack your house and eat your brains. LOL.

The graphics are so cute!! So is the sound and animations. For example, the Wall-Nut is like a barrier thing and the zombies would eat it to get pass. As it slowly starts to become weaker and weaker it starts crying... it’s so sad. The descriptions and pictures of the plants are very cute.
It’s an awesome game. I play it after work very day and have been sleeping less cause of this. I feel like I’m almost done the game soon, which is going to be sad. One of my friends was addicted instantly and played all weekend. He beat it in like 2 days. :S It’s a simple game and very cute. Should try it!

I can’t wait to get home to play again!!

    Hamilton Weekend

So I went to Hamilton this weekend with a bunch of friends. A mini road trip i guess to visit my bf and a friend that is still living in Hamilton this summer cause they are working in the lab at Mac.

It was so awesome cause I had work of on Friday!! I am doing Flex week so that means every other Friday I get it off but I just make up my hours during the rest of the 9 days. Which isn’t bad? So I get a mini long weekend every other week. I imagine I will just be sleeping in a lot during my off days

So we went to Hamilton for the weekend, played lots of video games, cooked and hiked. It was fun. We hiked around the back of the campus and somehow walked for a REALLY long time. We missed one of the trail exist and just kept going until we hit a trial area that was muddy and went. Then we had to turn back. Saw a few swans there which was really pretty. It was a nice road trip I guess with everyone that was done exams from York. Another weekend gone already.
I have a feeling school is just around the corner.
